We are about to enter the most exciting time in the history of the church as we step into the third day of Christ. We are about to experience the 40th Jubilee since the birth of Jesus (1998).

Luke 3:23 tells us that Jesus began His ministry "at about thirty years of age." Daniel's prophecy (Daniel 9:25-26) fixes the year of the Crucifixion when the Messiah was "cut off" in 33AD. Jesus ministered on the earth approximately three years. If this is true (and it seems likely that it is) then our Lord would have been born in 1BC and would have been one year old in 1AD.

The year 2000 would then be the 40th Jubilee since the birth of our Lord and Savior. The year 2000 also marks the end of the second day of Christ and the beginning of the third day of Christ. If we apply the Apostle Peter's revelation (2 Peter 3:8) that one prophetic day equates to 1,000 literal years, then Hosea's prophecy becomes a revelation of what is about to take place in the church.
Hosea 6:1-3, "Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth."

Now, we have revelation of the third day of Christ. After two days He will revive us as He comes to His people (on the earth) as the latter and former rain (Spirit) together. This will occur early on the third day and then the revived church (bride washed by the rain, without spot or wrinkle) will be caught up to live in His sight.

Between the beginning of the third day and the catching up (rapture) of the church, a glorious event will take place, the grandest of all Jubilee's will take place. Liberty and blessings for the true church (those who are faithful and obedient to serve the Master).

Jubilee is the 50th year after seven cycles of seven years. The word Jubilee comes from the Hebrew word "yobel" which means to be jubilant (to celebrate Christ) and to exult (by giving honor to Christ and praise for His blessings). Yobel is related to the Hebrew word for ram's horn or trumpet and indicates a time of the blowing of the trumpet. The Jubilee year begins with a blowing of the ram's horn on the Day of Atonement signifying a call to joy, liberation, and the beginning of a new year of justice and mercy and bountiful blessings.

Jubilee is a year of restoration and redemption. It is when our Kinsman-Redeemer, Jesus, commands His blessings (supernatural provision) to come upon His people. (Leviticus 25:21-25) The scriptures outline some requirements for those who wish to become recipients of this, the grandest of all Jubilee's.

1. Hosea 6:3 tells us to "pursue the knowledge of the Lord." It is time to seek the Lord for understanding of the time of this visitation (Jubilee) and ask for the rain (spiritual outpouring) according to Zechariah 10:1, "Ask the LORD for rain In the time of the latter rain. The LORD will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone."

2. Leviticus 25:10 tells us that this Jubilee must be consecrated. That means to be set apart to God and devoted to His purpose (will), and shall be considered a time for holiness to prevail in the church. (Leviticus 25:12)

3. Leviticus 25:10 also tells us that we must "proclaim liberty." We must speak and call forth the blessings of Jubilee. We must prophecy and call those unseen blessings forth as though they were (Mark 11:23-24). This must be done in faith, believing that this is the time of visitation and do not doubt.

4. Leviticus 25:17 tells us that we are not to oppress (mistreat) one another. We must forgive and release past grievances.

5. Leviticus 25:18 tells us that we must be doers of the Word. We must be obedient to His word of truth.

If we do these things, then we will dwell in safety (in the midst of judgment), and our land will yield its fruit according to the commanded blessings of the Lord (verses 18-21).

Jesus is our Jubilee blessing (Kinsman-Redeemer), and now is the time of the third-day Jubilee. We must blow the trumpet in Zion and awaken the people so that they can be a part of this 40th Jubilee.

The question, then, is when does this third day of Christ begin? It depends upon the date of the Master's birth. I will give you three possibilities and let you decide. These three dates all occur this fall, and they are the Feast of Trumpets, Feast of Atonement and Feast of Tabernacles.

The Feast of Trumpets (Leviticus 23:24) is a day of the blowing of trumpets. It is a two-day celebration and could represent the first and second comings of the Lord.

The Feast of Atonement (Leviticus 23:27) is the day on which the ram's horn is blown to announce the year of Jubilee (Leviticus 25:9). The blood of Jesus is our atonement, and the Jubilee year begins on the Day of Atonement.

The Feast of Tabernacles (Leviticus 23:35, 39) is a time of harvest. It is when the children of Israel dwelt in booths with God for 7 days. Jesus, Emmanuel, has been abiding with the church for 7 dispensations lasting 2,000 years.

Take your pick! It doesn't really matter that much because all of these feasts occur in the fall of the year, in the same season. What is important is that you prepare yourself to become one of those who will meet the conditions of the blessings which I outlined.

As I have said, this will be the 40th Jubilee. The number 40 becomes significant to us as we compare it to the scriptural patterns set forth in the scriptures. Jubilee is a year of liberty when the captives are set free. Isaiah proclaims this acceptable year and identifies God's purpose.

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, hthe garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."

Jesus was tempted for forty days (see Luke 4:1-13). Victory came on the 40th day. Luke 4:14, "Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region."

The children of Israel came out of the wilderness in the 40th year and crossed Jordan (type of the Spirit) and received the promise of God's victory and blessings.

I believe that the great victory and blessings will come forth in this Jubilee as a result of the restoration of the five-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11). We find the number 5 (50th year) in the Jubilee provision. The 50th year follows the 7 cycles of 7 years, and the church has gone through 7 cycles (Revelation chapters 2 and 3) and is now to come forth purified like gold refined in His consuming fire.

In the Azusa Street outpouring 100 years ago, the Jubilee brought the baptism of the Holy Spirit back to the church again. Fifty years ago, the Jubilee brought a healing revival to the church and the gifts of the Spirit began to flourish. This year God will restore apostolic authority and power once again as it was at the beginning of the church age. The apostles will come forth, and the power of God's order will be manifest, and the multiplied blessings of God will be poured out as the windows of heaven are opened.

It is time to blow the trumpet in Zion and proclaim that the grandest of all Jubilee's is about to occur. It will begin with the restoration of a holy people, His church, those who worship in spirit and in truth, before the last trumpet shall sound. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."

Let us not miss the time of these glorious visitations from the Most High God, for Jesus, our Jubilee, is coming to His people. HALLELUJAH!
