SPIRITUAL POWER by BILL BURNS
Just before the Lord returns to rule
over the earth He will come to His own “like the latter and former rain to the
earth” – for the purpose of establishing His kingdom (in power) over His people.
Matthew 6:9-10 "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed
be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
We are in a season in which the Lord is about to bring many sons into the glory
of His kingdom. And, it will be the anointing of destiny that will accomplish
God’s present purpose, which is to have the power of the Kingdom in
demonstration.
A spiritual generation will come to embrace the anointing of destiny. This
anointing will activate our faith so that as joint heirs we will use His name in
a new way. As He has already stated, “Whatever you ask in My name will be done.”
(John 14:13)
Conditions for this anointing:
1. Be in right standing with your Savior
2. Be in the anointing of the anointed One
Then use the name in faith and release the power of the Kingdom.
The Great Commission reveals the Lord’s final instruction to His Church:
Mark 16:
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every
creature.
16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe
will be condemned.
17 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out
demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no
means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
In My Name – the signs will follow you. Use the name in faith to cast out demons
and heal the sick (demonstrate the kingdom).
Mark 16:19-20 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up
into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and
preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through
the accompanying signs.
The Lord will work with you as you speak with tongues because it is the language
of the Holy Spirit. And, it has been given you because you believed.
Luke 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those
who ask Him!"
This is how Jesus works with you – it is the same way Jesus worked in the earth.
Acts 10:38 God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power,
who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for
God was with Him.
And He is with you to confirm His word with signs and wonders.
The Prophecy (Peter):
Acts 2:
16 "But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out
of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your
young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in
those days; And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and
fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the
coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be
saved.’
I (Jesus) will pour out My Spirit on My menservants and My maidservants in the
last days.
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, the pattern of “Spiritual Power” came
to the Church.
Acts 2:
1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one
place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and
it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each
of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other
tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
A new language was given.
Zephaniah 3:9 For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they
all may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him with one accord.
A pure language – a spiritual language!
Isaiah 28:
9 "Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the
message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts?
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line
upon line, Here a little, there a little."
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people,
12 To whom He said, "This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to
rest," And, "This is the refreshing"; Yet they would not hear.
The Transgression of the Church has been to deny spiritual power by rejecting
the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and so Jesus cannot confirm His Word with signs
following. Even among those who believe in the Holy Spirit, little power is
demonstrated.
The Gifts of the Bride are now being reintroduced by the Holy Spirit to the
Bride (true Church) as it is written:
1 Corinthians 12:
4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all
in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of
all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word
of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same
Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another
discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the
interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one
individually as He wills.
The Bride will receive these gifts from her King and use them for His glory!
Times and Seasons:
Like it was when the Day of Pentecost had fully come, we are in a season of
ascending to the New Plateau, which is a spiritual habitation of kingdom
reality.
Acts 17:26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all
the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the
boundaries of their dwellings.
God has established this pre-appointed time, and is also establishing the
boundaries of our habitation.
When we understand and know this present truth, it will establish kingdom
reality, and “Spiritual Power” will once again be demonstrated among His people.
The Fullness of Times
Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His
Son, born of a woman, born under the law.
Acts 17:30-31 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands
all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will
judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given
assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.
Ephesians 1:10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might
gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which
are on earth––in Him.
Acts 3:20-21 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God
has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
These scriptures prove that God works dispensationally among His people. He
visits His people to establish His purposes and release specific anointings such
as the anointing of destiny – anointing that reveals and demonstrates the
spiritual power of His kingdom.
