Jet Faith
by Brady Mathis
Jet faith is that which God has been working in us both by the operation
of His Spirit and by His order in our lifes. This represents a change
in the nature and rhythm of our faith that is vital for making a smooth
transition.
Engine - a machine that converts
one type of energy into another, e.g. an internal combustion engine
converts heat to motion.
Faith is an engine that converts spiritual energy into natural
manifestation (hence the phrase, “by faith” in Hebrews 11).
The change in the character of our faith is very like the difference
between the working of an
internal combustion engine and the
ramjet.
They both perform the exact same transformation of energy with the same
steps, but they are quite different in their implementation.
An internal combustion engine performs the tasks of combustion one at a
time in sequence. Start intake, stop intake, start compression, stop
compression, spark the combustion, stop combustion, start exhaust, stop
exhaust. To accomplish these in this way, men have devised fascinating
and complex machines with numerous moving parts.
Consider the same four components that take place in a jet engine, yet
each of the four are not stopped so another can take place. They
operate in one smooth flow with all operations functioning at the same
time. The result of this difference is an enormous increase in the
power output of the engine. In addition to this, the ramjet has no
moving parts.

In 2010, Bill prophesied that God will restore our fractured faith. God
has done this work in His people over the past season. He has prepared
us to move into this present season with a steady flow. Rather than
trying hard to believe and then being shaken in our faith and having to
ramp back up, we have been trained by adversity to maintain a continual
increase - to exercise jet faith. Religion makes the operation of our
faith over complex when God had always intended for us to simply trust
Him all the time. This change in the rhythm and character of our faith
is what will enable a smooth transition in our spiritual journey. Our
faith is the engine that will convert the promises of God into the
blessing God intends for us.
