INCREASED GLORY by BILL BURNS:

We are in a time of:

1.      Restoration of faith

2.      Breakthrough

3.      Recovery

4.      Continuation of equipping

Increased Authority

Luke 10:19  Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Opposing this operation is Satan who will trouble us – oppose us!

He fears those who use the authority of Christ against his kingdom.

Adversity is the opposing force against our growth.

The Present Season is identified by the prophet Isaiah:

Isaiah 59:19-21  So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.  The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob," Says the LORD.  "As for Me," says the LORD, "this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore."

Standard defined:  to make a way of escape, to cause to disappear or be hidden.

Hidden in the glory.

Isaiah 60:1-2  Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.  For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.

Darkness will cover the earth, but the glory of the Lord will arise over you!

The glory will cover us (hide us); the Lord of Hosts will come and fight with us.

Victory is assured!

The Glory  is described in scripture as:  glory, honor, abundance, splendor.

To be in the glory of God is to be adorned with the splendor of His light (presence).

The time, the darkness, the light:

Romans 13:

11  And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

12  The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

13  Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.

14  But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

The armor of light (brightness/splendor) that comes by putting on Jesus.  But, how do we put on Jesus?

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

It is His anointing that I wear, the anointing breaks the yoke; it brings victory; it is the light that establishes the glory!

The glory of the Father brings the anointing of the Son.  The anointing is the armor of light and the glory is the covering of God.  The glory is what the Father wears (His garments), and when He comes, He dresses us with garments of glory.

Adam & Eve  wore garments of glory until they sinned.  The glory of the Father was their covering until they knew that they were naked.

The Priests’ Garments

Moses was instructed:

Exodus 28:2  And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.

Spiritually speaking, we are to wear the garments of glory – to wear the Father’s presence and to put the armor of Christ on those garments.

And then, the power of the Holy Spirit will become the “sword of the Spirit”, which is the Word of God in our mouths by which the enemy is defeated.

Our Habitation

Revelation 21:10-11   And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,  having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

Revelation 21:23-24  The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.  And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.

We are in a time of ever-increasing glory.  As God’s priests, we are to wear the glory of the Father and go to war wearing the armor of Christ’s light.  And, if we do so, we will live in victory.

2 Corinthians 2:14  Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
