DISCERN & GO TO WAR
by Marsha Burns:

A door has been opened in high places to allow a three-fold cord of demonic forces to manifest against you, says the Lord.  They are lying spirits, perverse spirits, and haughty spirits.  They will work together to attack you with false accusations, perverse judgments, and the disdainful pride of a haughty spirit.  You will be tempted to respond emotionally through condemnation and shame that will debilitate you and make it virtually impossible to rise up to do warfare.  But, I say to you, shake off the dust of rejection and stand up in the Spirit to defeat the enemy.

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Patty Kerst:  I sensed I was doing a war dance. I saw (in the spirit) a man with a long staff like a rod with fire on the top, somewhat like a torch, standing before the opening of a cave looking out into the night. I sensed the Lord speaking to me that I was to hold on to my authority and keep the fire burning. I heard the phrase; “Keep the wolves at bay”.  "Do not allow the enemy to take your place of authority. Fight with the authority I give to you and do not let him quench the fire of the anointing I place in you. Use the very thing the enemy wants to steal as your weapon against him."

I have heard  these phrases as instruction from the Lord:

  1. Be fearless.
  2. Discern and go to war.
  3. Step up your warfare (take it to another level).

The first instruction is that we need to exercise our faith in God and be fearless.

Fearless is defined as brave, bold, courageous, lionhearted, unafraid.

James 4:7  Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

To resist is defined as to withstand, oppose, to set one’s self against.

The second instruction as to discern and go to war.  So, my discernment revealed a three-fold cord of perverse spirits, lying spirits and haughty spirit.

Perversion is defined as – confusion (violation of divine order); perversion is to confuse or mix or twist.
Lying – misleading or leading to error; it is deception.
Haughty – high, lofty, self-exaltation or pride.

Proverbs 11:20  Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the LORD, But the blameless in their ways are His delight.

Psalms 38:12  Those also who seek my life lay snares for me; those who seek my hurt speak of destruction, and plan deception all the day long.

Proverbs 13:10  By pride comes nothing but strife, but with the well–advised is wisdom.

So, here’s how I think this attack has come and will continue to come:

The open door will be a spirit of fear – basically of not trusting God or unbelief.
Next, will come confusion, perhaps a twisting of the facts as fear makes it bigger than it is.  Perversion will make a mountain out of a molehill.
Then, deception will take over to exaggerate the facts and be misleading.
And, in the process, pride will demand that you take matters into your own hands.

The third instruction is to step up or take your warfare to another level.  What you are facing may take a more intense battle spiritually.

But, before we go to war, we have to come to the truth of what is actually going on.  We have to see the truth of every situation and not react in the flesh, but to be led by the Spirit of God in overcoming the difficulties and obstacles.

Remember that we do not battle against flesh and blood.  Our war is not against people, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness.

If we find ourselves trying to fix things by dealing with people which often means placing blame or bringing accusation, and then we’re off course.

If we allow this three-fold cord to rule in our circumstances, then we could very well become the wolves that intimidate and devour.

We can become both victims and perpetrators.  This attack is also a double-edged sword.

Step Up Your Warfare (take it to another level)

We have to discern precisely what the enemy is up to; we have to be specific.

He wants us to begin to move and walk in the Holy Spirit in a greater dimension and to spend time seeking Him, developing a personal relationship with Him.

Here’s what I see:  As soon as we began to move in the realm of the Spirit, a religious spirit set itself as a barrier between us and the Spirit of the Lord.  It’s job is to separate us from the person of the Holy Spirit by tempting us to get in the flesh through self-consciousness, comparisons, and feeling pressured to share what we perceived in the Spirit.

Colossians 2:23  These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self–imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

There is always a fight between being in the Spirit versus the flesh.

Galatians 5:17  For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

Religion is the law and trying to accomplish God’s purposes by the power of our flesh.  And, as soon as we begin to walk in the Holy Spirit, the spirit of religion tempts us to figure out a formula or technique to do so instead of just yielding to Him.

This spirit of religion will attack us with a lack of confidence and direction by jamming the signals between us and the Holy Spirit.

What now?

We have to go back to what we know God’s intention is for us:

To be filled and baptized in the Holy Spirit and available to Him at all times.

To learn the difference between the voice of God, the devil and ourselves.

To walk in the anointing and purposes of the Spirit.

To allow the Holy Spirit to come upon us to do His work through His gifts and manifestation.

To rule and reign here by exercising our authority over the world, the flesh and the devil.

We have to begin again with a sense of fresh perspective and purpose.

There are things that need to be shared that will encourage and strengthen the whole body, and we have made a place on the Ft111.com Forum for that purpose.  But, again, we should not feel obligated in any way to do that, but to post as the Holy Spirit leads.

John 5:19  Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

John 5:30  "I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

John 8:28  Then Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.

John 15:5  "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
