This morning while still in bed I had a vision.  I was standing at the edge of a pool.  It was at first a little bit dark and misty.  Then I saw Jesus standing in the water that was about waist deep, reaching out His hand to me to come in.  I saw His eyes full of light and love, fierce love, which could see right through me.  I remember feeling fear, shame, and unworthiness.  But I could not resist Him drawing me, almost as a magnetic pull.  As I stepped in the water, I had the sense that it was bubbling with a spring or moving somehow.   As Jesus continued to fix his gaze on me, he took hold of my wrists and drew me under the water with Him.  When I came up again, I felt so clean and whole.  The whole scene was indescribably beautiful, lush and green around the pool, with brightly colored flowers, and I remember the birds singing.  I saw what I call “light gems” on both Jesus and me, much like snow crystals that reflect the light as prisms.  I wanted to stay and abide and never leave, and felt the Lord’s assurance that I could revisit this place anytime.  Afterward, as I was thinking about the stirring of the water, I was reminded of the Pool of Bethesda, which means House of Mercy.  And that is the essence of what I experienced—His incredible mercy.
