BREAKTHROUGH INSTRUCTIONS
by Marsha Burns
We are transitioning into a new spiritual
year that begins with Feast of Trumpets. Old things are passing away and
new things are coming forth.
Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I
declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.
These past months have been an extremely difficult time for most of us in the
Body of Christ. We have been tested and challenged to the very limits in many
ways.
We have made progress in breaking through these dark days, but we still have to
keep pushing through until we have complete victory.
Here are some instructions that the Lord has given us prophetically to help
us maintain spiritual perspective and hope.
Beloved, you must exercise your will to push through your circumstances and gain
the victory. You cannot move through this time of challenges and tests as long
as you allow self-pity and fear to paralyze you. Recognize that this is an
attack from the devil to keep you from enjoying My provision and blessings.
Shake yourself awake and rise up in faith to believe My word and will for all of
My people, and let that be your foundation for success, says the Lord.
1. Push through
2. Overcome self-pity and fear
3. Believe the Word and God’s will
Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have
apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and
reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for
the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of
love and of a sound mind.
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health,
just as your soul prospers.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Rise above the problems of life and seek My face to re-establish eternal and
spiritual perspective. As long as you keep your difficult circumstances
constantly before your face, My face will be obscured. Choose to trust Me and to
know that My grace is sufficient for every situation. I will bring you through
every trial in victory, and I tell you absolutely that this too shall pass, says
the Lord.
4. Rise above -- look at circumstances from spiritual vantage point
5. Trust God
Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Psalms 115:11 You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and
their shield.
Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.
Be patient just a little while, and things will take a turn that will reveal to
you that you've been in the flow of My Spirit all along. You thought you might
have been way off course, perhaps even lost from My view, says the Lord. But, I
have been with you the whole way and have even directed your steps to bring you
to a new level of revelation, dedication, and consecration, which will serve you
well in the coming days. Stay strong!
6. Be patient (persevere)
7. Be strong
Romans 12:
10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor
giving preference to one another;
11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;
Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be
afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
Psalms 138:3 In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with
strength in my soul.
As you come begin to come higher in your spiritual progression, do not be
surprised when I bring conviction of sin and unrighteousness. And, it is My
desire that you respond quickly with repentance by turning from these
indiscretions. However, if you ignore the conviction and justify yourself in the
process, your heart will become hard and impenetrable to My Spirit; your eyes
and ears will become dull so that you can neither see nor hear the work of the
Spirit in your life, says the Lord.
8. Respond to conviction with repentance
Luke 3:8 "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to
yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able
to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
Acts 28:27 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of
hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and
turn, so that I should heal them."’
John 16:8 "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment:
The enemy is at work to undermine your confidence by accentuating what you have
labeled your failures. Rise up and refuse to accept these lies, which open the
door for reproach against you. You have not failed Me, says the Lord. Yes, it
seems at times that you have fallen down, but falling is not failing, says the
Lord. Seek Me for truth and wisdom, and then rise up in the Spirit and resist
the enemy.
9. Refuse to believe the devil’s lies
10. Seek truth and wisdom
11. Resist the devil
John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you
want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the
truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from
his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all
liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
James 3: 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good
conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
14 But if you have bitter envy and self–seeking in your hearts, do not boast and
lie against the truth.
15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
16 For where envy and self–seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are
there.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,
willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without
hypocrisy.
James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which
you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of
many witnesses.
